Hockey Alberta Coaching Clinics and Registration

Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders

>> Must be completed before the coach is allowed to participate in practices or games

Be sure to select Respect In Sport Coach, not the Parent course.

>> From the drop down menu at the top, select Hockey Alberta
>> Under the Categories menu, click on Trainer/Safety

NEW COACHES TO HOCKEY

New participants who have NEVER registered with a Hockey Canada sanctioned program before will need to create a Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) profile/number before registering for any coaching courses or clinics.

To create a new HCR Profile/Number:

1. Create/Login to your Spordle account here.

2. Create an HCR Profile for the new participant.

Go to: https://page.spordle.com/ha/register/1f030f87-1cc6-66b8-82df-0281acc700a5

Click on the red Register Now button.

Follow the on-screen prompts to create your HCR number.

 

If you are unsure if you already have an HCR number or require assistance looking up your HCR profile, please contact BRMHA's Registrar by email at registrar@battlerivermha.ca.

 


Other Coaching Requirements

Vulnerable Sector Check

  • All Team Officials (head coach, assistants, trainers, and managers) must provide a valid Vulnerable Sector Check to BRMHA. Team treasurer's do not require a VS Check.
  • This is a requirement of our association, not Hockey Alberta.
  • BRMHA considers all Vulnerable Sector Checks to be valid for 3 hockey seasons from the date issued.
  • If you require a new VS Check, please contact registrar@battlerivermha.ca for more information on how to obtain one.

Deadlines

  • Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders certification must be current before the coach is permitted to participate in any practices or games.
  • Vulnerable Sector Checks are due Nov. 1st.
  • All other coaching requirements as per Hockey Alberta must be complete by November 15 or the coach will be removed from the team's roster.
